International Forum on Mobile Technology and Applications (IFMTA 2014) concludes successfully!
The IFMTA 2014 concludes successfully yesterday. The Forum attracts academic, mobile apps developers as well as industry users and many of them said they will come back to take part in this conference next year! The conference was so successful that we have secured sponsorship from Alibaba on site. DBS, one of the sponsors for 2014 Forum also committed a sponsorship for the next Forum!
The coffee breaks are all themed with live demonstrations. The most eye catching one is the "Robot Controlling Apps" - you can control motions of the robot through mobile applications and it is expected that they will transform our daily life in the near future.
Dr Lennon Chang gave a very interesting speech on Cyber Vigilantism and attract attention of the media. Dr Min's presentation from Alibaba is one of the highlights of the Forum and attracted a full house. He gave the audience first hand experience of this online retail giant how to collect and analyze the Big Data, and the challenges of applying the Big Data in business, which will be key to business success in the coming decades.
Many of the mobile apps users enjoyed presentation by Prof Ke-li Wu, who shared a lot of insights about the challenges of Antenna Technologies for Smart Mobile Terminals, and the audience were eager to raise a lot of questions.
The Forum was indeed a success and the host committee and the sponsors are now working on the next Forum. Please follow this blog to check out updates about IFMTA!
